Hummingbird Aviation Training Limited
Enrollment Agreement

 
This agreement is made between Hummingbird Aviation Training Limited (HATL) and each new student referred to as "the student" entering the school. HATL's registered office is at 195B Western Main Road, Cocorite.
 
Course: This enrollment agreement is for a:
Private Pilot's License Commercial Pilot's License Course.
   
Venue: All Groundschool classes shall be conducted at HATL's offices at 195B Western Main Road, Cocorite. All Flight Instruction shall be conducted from Hummingbird's offices situated at the Old Piarco Terminal Building, Piarco.
   
Security: The student shall be responsible for their own Security pass issued by the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
   
Lesson Schedule : We intend to operate seven (7) days a week and all training, whether Groundschool or Flying must be booked and scheduled through our Port of Spain Office. Times of operations are 6:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. We recommend flying a minimum of three (3) times per week and not more than ten (10) times per week.
   
Employment : HATL makes no guarantee of employment to any student under any circumstances, but will try to assist in filling any existing vacancies.
   
Tuition Payment Policy: Students have (3) payment options. Full payment up front will be dicounted by ten percent (10%). Deposit TT curency fifty thousand dollars($50,000.00) into their HATL account and drawndown, or pay as you go. Once the money is used, they will be required to put more money on account. N.B. No student is allowed to fly and charge it against an account that has no money.
   
Refund: Every student is entitled to a full refund of all unused portions of monies on acount at HATL.
   
Insurance:

Helicopter flying is potentially dangerous. HATL recommends that each student obtain health and life insurance. Make sure that insurance policy does not exclude coverage when flying helicopters.

A student pilot or qualified pilot flying solo who damages the helicopter will be responsible for paying the insurance deductible which is 5% of the hull value (TT$32,000.00).

   
Tuition Late Charges: HATL reserves the right to adjust the tutition rates at any time. HATL will give thirty (30) day notice of any rate change.
   
Tuition and Other Damages: Our tutiton is based on hourly rates. This allows for the difference between each student's ability to assimilate the skills involved in learning to fly. The hourly rates are as follows:

Course Duration : The course is approximately __________________ weeks in duration. The course duration is designed with the minimum times required by the F.A.R.'s and meets the requirements of the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority. However, realistically the time length of a course for each individual will be a little different based on their academic and physical skills.
   
Additional Training Benefits :

A student who enrolls for a Commercial Pilot License Course and whose flying requirement exceeds 100 hours will receive training at no extra costs in the following:

  1. Helicopter Underwater Egress Training / Open Sea Survival
  2. EMP Basic First Aid
  3. Fire Fighting
  4. Dangerous Goods Handling for Crew
  5. Crew Resource Management
   
Changes in Program Content : The Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority is responsible for the regulations governing aviation here in Trinidad and Tobago. In the event of a change in regulations, the program content and cost will be altered to reflect the change in regulations. The student will be responsible for any expenses resulting in said changes.
   
Graduation Conditions: To obtain a pilot certificate / license, each course requires satisfactory completion of written, oral and flight tests. The FAA written exam will be administered by the FAA or its designates, locally or abroad. The remaining portion of written exams and flight tests will be administered locally by the Flight Inspectorate Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority. The final license issued would be that of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
   
Deportment: The student is expected to maintain an appearance and conduct themselves in a professional manner whilst in and on company property and a dress code can be considered to b in effect.
