The Medic First Aid Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed to educate the first aider about the dangers one is exposed to while performing first aid. The course covers Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Syphilis and other bloodborne pathogens. It teaches methods of avoiding infection, as well as approved procedures for clean up and disposal of blood and other biohazardous waste.
