Safety Systems Limited, a subsidiary of Hummingbird
Helicopter Services Limited, is a company dedicated to the provision
of quality safety training and services geared in the main but not
limited to the petrochemical industry.
The principal and founder, Capt. H. Anthony Vieira a 10,000+ hour helicopter pilot, has been involved in safety training since 1984 when the then AMOCO saw a need to offer its workers some measure of open sea survival training. Capt. Vieira conducted this training program from its inception. In 1998, Hummingbird Helicopter Services Limited was the first company to introduce Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) locally and in the region. Hummingbird has since become well known for its signature delivery of its HUET programme. The year 2001 saw an increased demand for training and, in November of that year Capt. Vieira was approached by BP to supplement their basic safety training needs. In support of the BP initiative, Hummingbird commenced offering both a four (4) day basic programme as well as a two (2) day refresher. RGIT Montrose of Aberdeen Scotland, well known internationally for their safety training capability have audited and approved HHSL Safety Systems Limited. Our certification is accepted in the UK, China, New Zealand, Gulf of Mexico, and Venezuela to name a few countries. HSL Safety Systems is committed to ensuring risk reduction through knowledge and example by providing safety training of an international standard. |
